A professional grade wool pad for your 6 inch backing plate! Lake Country?s Twisted Wool Cutting Pad is available in a 7.5 inch diameter, perfect for a 6 inch hook & loop backing plate. This pad will restore dull, oxidized paint with your rotary polisher. This is an ideal pad for detailers who prefer a smaller pad size and are experienced with using a wool pad. * Wool pads can transfer more heat from the polisher to the paint surface than foam pads. If you?re new to machine polishing, we recommend that you start with a Porter Cable 7424 and foam pads. Lake Country?s Wool Cutting Pad is made of 100% wool twisted into hundreds of individual strands. The tight twisting allows the pad to operate at a consistent level of aggressiveness for longer periods. With a 1.5 inch pile, the pad will hold up to many, many uses. The pad has a diameter of 7.5 inches but the thick pile gives it an overall diameter of 8 inches. The Wool Cutting Pad is intended for severe swirls, scratches and heavy oxidation. Your other option is to have 3 or 4 wool pads on hand so you can simply switch pads when one becomes caked. Clean soiled foam pads without the mess! The System 2000 Pad Washer is a completely enclosed pad washing system that cleans and dries used polishing pads. The entire process takes place inside a five gallon bucket so there?s no mess. It?s a totally hands-off process that leaves your foam and wool pads completely clean! The Autogeek System 2000 Pad Washer consists of 9 separate agitator wheels powered by the buffer. Each wheel has teeth that massage the pad to release polishes and waxes from the foam as the pad orbits on the buffer. The agitator is housed inside a 5 gallon bucket. The bucket is topped with a specialized lid with two covers that close around the buffer to keep the sling-off inside the bucket. The Autogeek System 2000 works with a combination of agitation and detergent. The unit comes with a packet of Snappy Clean pad cleaning powder.
